Dear R CITY Supporters, This summer we took moments to collect feedback from our children, teens, young adults and parents asking all sorts of questions to hear from them about the strengths and challenges of R CITY. When asked why they come back for each new season, over and over our children, teens, young adults and parents all noted the significant relationships that made R CITY so valuable to them. What an encouragement to our staff as they were consistently listed as what make R CITY their special place.
In this season, we are tremendously grateful and excited by River City Community Church's purchase of the buildings and open lot next door. Harambee and Print shop have moved their programs into their new training spaces and we can't stop dreaming of all that the space will contain in the years ahead! The incredible rendering in the image above was created through input from a special design team of church and community members.
We know that for all the beauty and peace this safe space offers our community it's greatest power lies not only in the beautify of the space or the innovation of the programming, but in the safe and trusted relationships that are formed. We believe that combination gives our children hope that a peaceful future is possible.
